One of the best known Caribbean artists, Bruce Smith’s self taught naive style can be seen on murals from the British Virgins to Grenada. Bruce is the featured artist in Edward Hamilton’s book, Rums of the Eastern Caribbean.

In addition to the notecards displayed here, Bruce continues to paint original works that depict life in the islands and can be seen at art exhibitions in the Caribbean. Bruce’s originals can be seen at Mango Tango in St Thomas and Harmony Hall in Antigua.

Bruce and his family are currently living in the Pacific Northwest aboard the gaff-rigged ketch Woodwind that Bruce built. He is currently painting local scenes in the Pacific Northwest.
